A Bridge of Bones – ‘The Edge of Reason’

Limits and Fits, a engineering term known only too well by pipefitters, regular brushers and biro chewers alike, there comes a point where the initial offering or product has expired beyond its original design life and exceeds or exhausts its intended parameters.
The biro cap that no longer fits over the top of the pen, or the toothpaste top that fails to stay in place, here we have signposts for the short life of the created object or artifact.
In a similar manner we have the experience of trust or the development of mis-trust, it is hoped you have managed to enter into a trusting relationship with someone well qualified to be held in high esteem.
Over time and with experience we undoubtedly have the opportunity to live, love, lose, reflect and learn; sometimes we have to journey the hard road and  for some the easier track is found, it is rarely worth wondering why, a more bountiful return found by the grateful expediter of blessed opportunities.
Man and Wife.
There are countless examples of man terminating the life of another man found in an adulterous affair with the wrong woman, and vice versa, so we are in clear knowledge of the likely outcome of such a venture. I would argue that to expect anything else is to expect an emasculation delivered on top of the blatant and humiliating cuckolding of the former conflagration.
Man and Child.
The beautiful and heartwarming experience of parental love, amazing and life changing, a blessing indeed, how can we measure such a treasure is beyond my capabilities I confess.
The idea of losing the child you love to a murderer is enough to turn many to thoughts of spectacular violence, and of course so many could be among those, but can we not see the bigger picture, the point where emotion gives way to reason and guidance.
Man as created creature.
Outside the creation and in full knowledge the Creator knows our faults and failures, has no need for statistics or extrapolations. It simply known and transmitted that the way is clear, first you should develop a society built on divine guidance and then deliver a legal system that enhances and steers the characters playing out the bigger picture.
We are in an information rich society, few struggle to find that bargain holiday, cut price BMW, but how many have spent the required time to sift through the scriptural works of those that have lived and died before us ?, I  invite you to read and reflect on these matters and span the space that secular thought has so often struggled to clear.
